Introduction

PointNXT is a multi-tenant order management system (OMS) and warehouse management system (WMS). The workspace README describes it as a platform for omnichannel commerce across Indian and global marketplaces.

Checked against pnxt-api-nestjs commit b5bd463f on 2026-10-01.

Admin and warehouse are API clients. They do not own the order or stock write model. That is an inference from the workspace layout: writes live in the NestJS modules.

Implementation detail

The workspace folder is not one git repository. pnxt-api-nestjs has its own remote (https://github.com/adaptnxt/pnxt-api-nestjs). Admin and warehouse remotes were not recorded in this pass.

What a new developer needs on day one​

  1. The API alone is not the system. You also run the worker and the scheduler.
  2. Almost every business row belongs to a tenant. Prisma applies that filter. Raw SQL does not, unless the SQL includes tenantId.
  3. Order and stock side effects are outbox rows written in the same database transaction. They are not in-process events from the order command path.
  4. Channel status INACTIVE and SUSPENDED both stop sync and mean different things.
  5. OpenAPI at /docs (non-production) is the field-level API reference. This site does not copy request DTOs.
